All happening at the pond

So, after giving the pond a hard time in my comment to Si, it decides to surprise me this morning with the most number of species I have ever recorded there in one go.

That’s 3 whole species, all on the pond at once!

Grey Heron, a pair of Mallard and a Moorhen.

This is the first time I have ever seen Mallard on this pond, and brings the total number of species seen on the pond to 4 (the other is Kingfisher, which had me swearing quite loudly for a while).

PS. This photo was earlier in the year, most of the scrub around the edges has been cleared since.
